I’m surprised that I still have fast-twitch sparking after all the long distance I did. I’m even more surprised, but pleasantly surprised, I’m running just under world class times within months of coming back to the track.
I think it’s important to lead by example and I want women to see that there’s opportunities for them in their 30s, 40s, and 50s and they don’t have to drink the cultural cool-aid that athletics, gyms, etc. are only meant for young people.
