Not your average every-day smoothie, but sometimes you just need to mix things up! And is there anything better than chocolate? This baby’s got all the taste and satisfaction, without colouring outside the lines. 🙂 Here you go:
Ingredients (2 servings)
2 cups almond milk
1/4 cup avocado
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pink of sea salt
4-6 pitted Medjoool dates
4-6 ice cubes
1/4 tsp espresso powder (optional)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Combine almond milk, ice cubes, avocado, cocao powder, protein powder, and vanilla in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Add the salt, pitted dates, ice, and espresso powder and blend again until smooth.
- Add coffee ice cubes (you can make them ahead!)
- Freeze leftover avocado and add to future smoothies
- Dried out dates? Soak them in water to plump them up.
